"All the singers, the teachers of children, deacons, helpers, intercessors, elders and other ministry workers MUST BE BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT without exception."
The above is a quote from a source I will not name. I saw this and was rather discouraged. The source is near and dear to my heart, I am concerned, so very concerned. A friend thought perhaps my questions about another topic to the source speared this on, I would not think so because this did not come up in conversation. So what does scripture say? What are the marks of an Elder? a teacher? a deacon?
I thought it interesting each one named. Let me ask a few questions concerning intercessors.
1. For some one to truly interceed, is Holy Spirit Baptism (referred to as HSB from now on) truly required?
2. Will HSB change how soon God answers a prayer?
3. Does HSB affect the way he answers prayer?
4. Is there some sort of power that is able to be tapped into via the HSB?
5. Is the prayer of the individual hindered in some way without the HSB?
My other concer is me. Have I missed something? Am I trying to find some flaw in the doctrine? Help me Lord, my heart is greatly concerned. If anyone comes across this by chance please respond. I know the Doctrines concerning Reformed and this.
